I am glad to report today that the Saudi Mining Polytechnic (SMP) stands out as a peak of excellence in training Saudi nationals for the mining sector in support of developing the workforce for the Kingdom’s Vision 2030. SMP strives to achieve the highest levels of excellence in its enablers, processes, and output. Its ten (10)-year transformation strategy is designed on the principles of quality, sustainability, and social responsibility . SMP is accredited by the Educational and Training Evaluation Commission (ETEC) and recognized by King Abdulaziz Quality Award.
The Saudi Mining Polytechnic was established in 2012 as partnership between the Technical and Vocational Training Commission (TVTC) and the Saudi Arabian Mining Company (Ma’aden) with the objective of training and qualifying young Saudi Arabs to operate the Kingdom’s current and future mines and plants. This partnership and collaboration was recognized as the first rank for the 11th cycle of the 2018 Arabia CSR Award for Partnerships and Collaboration Category.
