The program aims at a training that ends in employment with the aim of Saudization of the mining industry in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the achievement of the 2030 Saudi Vision. The apprentices can join the program, which lasts for two and a half years after completing high school (the science division) and meeting other conditions and prerequisites. These include the General Aptitude Test (GAT) and the Qiyas Test, and other program prerequisites. The apprentices can choose one of three specializations offered by the Institute. These are: underground mining, surface mining, and plant operations. Upon successful completion of the program, the apprentices will receive a mining diploma certificate in accordance with his specialization. The training program is distinguished for the fact that it is one that ends in employment.
