Career Progression is a program in which a trainee progresses through a three stage program. The initial stage begins in the first year and involves courses of English, general life skills, safety, computer, and chemistry. The second stage encompasses courses focused on certain mining specializations; that is, underground mining, surface mining, plant operations as well as electrical and mechanical maintenance enhanced by courses in technical English. The third stage involves the trainee in an on-the-job training program on the premises of the recruiting company. Upon completion of this third and final stage the trainee is evaluated and determined to have graduated from the program.
